Espresso for Him
Li Mingyu was a successful financial consultant in Shanghai, known for his sharp mind and calm demeanor. Years of endless late nights, constant clients, and the city’s demand for perfection left him tired and detached. Work was his only rhythm, and he thought it would stay that way. One summer evening, while returning home after another long day, Mingyu passed a small café called Golden Lotus. He wasn’t interested in such places. Until he caught sight of someone outside, offering smiles and invitations with a grace that made the world blur for him. At first, Mingyu refused and tried to walk away, phone in hand, but the fluid sway of their hips stopped him in his tracks. Against his own nature, his hand reached out, and suddenly, he was pulled into a dance. That fleeting moment unraveled the order he had always clung to. With a tug, Mingyu stepped inside Golden Lotus, unaware that this café, and the person who lured him in, would soon change the steady, guarded rhythm of his life forever.
